Day 9

Menu:

Stir-fried cabbage, tofu with cereal, curry chicken and soup.

Both the curry and tofu are nice. Soup... bland!

Day 8

menu: Fish in bean sauce, vege, prawn paste chicken and herbal chicken soup.

The fish in bean sauce is acceptable but don't even taste like bean sauce. Nothing special about the vege. They could have added a bit of carrots so that it looks nicer.

The prawn paste chicken is nice. The herbal soup - too bitter!

Day 7

Menu: Fried chicken wings, prawns, mao gua and cabbage & chicken soup.

The chicken wings seems a bit pathetic. Each person given 2 mid wings. The prawns are nice although I'm not quite sure what is the sauce. Vege - no comments. Soup - bland as usual.



Remember the pathetic 2 pieces of fishcakes that they 'compensate' for giving us a dish that we requested not to? Complained to them and they 'compensated' with 4 pcs of tempura crabsticks today.

Day 6

Today's menu:

bean sauce pork, battered fried fish, fried cabbage, salted veg & pork rib soup.
The bean sauce pork didn't have a strong bean sauce taste. Tasted just like soy sauce pork.

They seems to like frying vegetable with ginger which my family don't really like.The soup was quite bland. Does not have the salted vege taste. Till now, I feel that the soup tasted almost similar every day.


The replacement dish for the long beans: 2 pathetic pieces of fishcakes!

Day 5

Today's menu:

long beans, sweet & sour pork, scallops with celery, corn and pork ribs soup.


The sweet & sour pork is not very tasty, just average. The sauce of the scallops w/ celery tasted almost the same as the beancurd w/crabmeat.

I already requested for no long beans and they still deliver it to me. Sent an email to them and they replied that they will give a replacement dish on my next order day. let's see what they give.

Day 4

Today's menu:
pork chop, beancurd w/crabmeat, fried vege, wintermelon & pork ribs soup.


The pork chop was quite nice. The others are average.

Day 3

Menu for today:

Sweet and sour fishballs, seaweed & chicken soup, stir fried chicken with dried chili and stir fried cabbage.



The chicken is nice, not too spicy. The rest are acceptable too.

Day 2

Today is officially the 2nd day of catering.

Menu: fried fish, green vege, chicken with pepper, chicken and water cress soup.

The vege seems a bit overcooked. The rest are acceptable. But the portion for the fish seems a bit pathetic. Ordered for 2 person and came 2 pieces of fish.

The colour presentation is quite bad. They should have added some carrots in the vege or red/orange pepper in the meat. At least it will look more appetising.

'Free' meal

Catered lunch for Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

BUT, the food was delivered today. Called the company to check and the salesperson said will call me back but did not. Husband say just take it as a free meal since it is their mistake to send to us.

Anyway, tried a bit of the food since it is already here.

Today's menu: sambal sotong, green vege, pork and leek, sweet corn & pork ribs soup.



Today's food is not very tasty but not considered bad. So, pass!

Day 1

Food arrived at close to 12pm.

Opted for disposable containers so that I can do away with washing. It came sealed up with plastic sheets like those for bubble tea. It's good cos it prevents any leakage.


I actually did not request for not wanting bean sprouts, but on the invoice, it was stated that i did not want it. But guess wat? they still give it to me. But i've no complains since my husband eats it. Son ate it too but didn't like it cos they fry it with ginger.

The other dishes are ok. My girl loves steam egg, so she was happy to see it. The soya sauce chicken was nice. Overall, today's menu was well received.

Order

Emailed to Empire Food Catering this morning or make an order for lunch tingkat catering starting tomorrow. Their response is very fast. Called me 2 hours later to confirm my order.
